- Integrity
- Education
- Camaraderie
Our Work
As the Alabama chapter of the ICMA, the ACCMA seeks to serve current and aspiring local government management professionals by providing resources and services in three core areas.
Membership & Engagement
ACCMA members enjoy access to two annual conferences, regional events, helpful professional resources, and networking opportunities capable of connecting and supporting our members serving Alabama’s cities and counties.
Professional Development Opportunities
Local public managers, MPA students, and others seeking to increase their knowledge and understanding of public management are encouraged to take part in our Local Government Management Professional Program, our annual conferences, and review the ICMA resources provided on our resources page.
Advocacy
ACCMA members believe in the significant, positive impacts professional managers make in their cities and counties. As any Alabama state or local governmental body considers changes to applicable laws, policies, or ordinances impacting the local management profession, ACCMA members are excited to inform key decision-makers with research and evidence-based information to inform their decision-making.
